Delete your Parent Setu account

Last updated November 2026

This page is for the Parent Setu app and website (parentsetu.com). Only siblings have an account -- parents never sign in -- so deleting an account means deleting a sibling's account. You can do it yourself in under a minute, with nobody's help.

Delete it yourself, in the app or website

  1. Open Parent Setu and sign in with your phone number.
  2. Tap the settings icon (the gear) on the dashboard.
  3. In the Account box, tap Delete my account.
  4. Read the warning, type DELETE, and tap the red button.

Your account is deleted straight away, and you are signed out.

What gets deleted

  • Your account: phone number, name, notification choices and device notification address.
  • Your subscription, which is cancelled first so you are not charged again.
  • Every family where you are the only sibling, completely -- the parents' profiles, reminders and routines, check-ins, SOS records, emergency contacts, and any photos or voice notes. The parents' linked phones stop working.
  • Your sign-in record at Firebase (our phone verification provider).

What stays

  • A family that still has other siblings stays for them. You are only removed from it, and the parents you added remain in that family.
  • A scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your phone number, your first sign-up date, and whether your free month was used -- nothing else -- so that deleting and signing up again cannot earn another free month.
  • Payment records held by Razorpay or PayPal on their own systems, which they must keep under financial and tax laws. We never held your card or bank details.

Can't sign in? Ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the phone number or the app, email support@parentsetu.com with the subject "Delete my account" and the phone number the account was made with. We may reply to confirm it is you, and we will delete it within 30 days.

A parent who wants their information removed should ask the sibling who set them up to delete the family, or email us the same way.
